Performance Testing Oracle’s JD Edwards EnterpriseOne application

If you’ve done any performance testing, you know that at the end of any project you have acquired some new hints, tips and tricks on the intricacies of testing that particular application.  If you’re testing in-house applications, not a lot of those tips are transferable.  However, if you’re testing commercially available ERP applications like Oracle’s JD Edwards EnterpriseOne – then there’s a large audience to whom that information would be valuable.

Recently, some of the technical wizards the IBM Power Systems Benchmark Center in Minnesota have documented one of their experiences performance testing EnterpriseOne.  The result is a “RedBook” that outlines their experiences, and shares valuable tips, techniques and code.

This document is a great starting point for anyone testing Oracle’s JD Edwards EnterpriseOne applications.  It can be downloaded from IBM’s knowledge sharing site, developerWorks.
